"Measurement is not in the allowed incremental limit"

What you see

Measurement is not in the allowed incremental limit

What it means

Ajio is rejecting the progression across sizes, not necessarily the absolute value. One size dips below the previous size or jumps beyond the expected grade.

Why it happens

A real rejected series looked like this:

S=44   M=42.8   L=45   XL=45.5   XXL=46   3XL=50.8   4XL=47   5XL=54.8

M is below S, 3XL jumps, 4XL drops again and 5XL jumps. The sequence is internally inconsistent.

Column-copy errors can create the same pattern. In one co-ord file, *Hips had been filled from the waist series, leaving hip equal to waist for every size.

A repeated value is not automatically wrong. Ajio accepted Front Length at 28″ from S through 3XL because many garments genuinely use one length across sizes.

How to fix it

  1. Print one style's full size run side by side.
  2. Confirm each measurement column contains the intended body part.
  3. Mark every dip and unusually large jump.
  4. Compare the sequence with at least three accepted points from the same seller and category, or with a QC-approved file for the same garment on another marketplace.
  5. Correct the whole sequence in one rejection workbook and re-upload it to the owning feed.

Do not smooth values by averaging disagreeing sources. A disagreement is evidence that one source may contain the mistake.

How to avoid it next time

  • Validate each measurement as a complete size series.
  • Allow flat length series when the garment genuinely has one cut length.
  • Require three consistent accepted points before interpolating.
  • Read one complete row across before filling the full catalogue.
  • Apply all measurement corrections in a single file per feed.
