Ajio catalogue uploads
Ajio's Self Serve portal returns error messages that are precise, unexplained, and largely absent from the internet. Search most of them and you get nothing.
These pages are the notes from running several hundred styles through Self Serve — the mechanics behind each error, and what actually clears it. Everything here was observed on real feeds, not inferred from documentation.
Start here if you are stuck: find your exact error message below. Start with the feed model if you are new to Ajio — most wasted effort comes from not understanding it.
The mental model
- How Ajio feeds work, and why re-uploading a corrected file makes it worse — the single most useful thing to understand. A feed owns what it touches.
- Is my barcode free? Understanding
Is SoftDeleted— check whether Ajio has released the product already, and learn how to release a held SKU yourself. - Reading your Upload History correctly — what each status column means, which exports prove success, and why downloaded files go stale.
Errors
| The message | What it really is |
|---|---|
| Cannot process this ean, it is present in different feed | A feed collision. Very common, and usually self-inflicted. |
| Seller is not authorized to upload other seller's sheet | Almost never a permissions problem. Your file lost a hidden field. |
| Duplicate: this style code, colour & standard size combination is already present | That exact size is already live or under processing; an upload cannot overwrite it. |
| The style code exists in another brick | The style was claimed in a different category and needs a re-brick or a genuinely new code. |
| Measurement is not in the allowed incremental limit | The size sequence dips, jumps or contains a copied value. |
| Measurement is not in the allowed size range limit | A value falls outside Ajio's absolute band for that size. |
| Product Category Reject: Incorrect Brick | Manual QC believes the product image does not match the selected category. |
| File is already uploaded in Feed | Ajio deduplicates filenames, even when the file contents changed. |
| Incorrect data in sheet. Please validate | You may be using a rejection export or an empty category sheet as a new template. |
| You have not added any value | The cell looks filled but its text was stored in a form Ajio reads as blank. |
| IQC: missing back angle or duplicate images | The gallery is missing a distinct required view or repeats the same asset. |
| For Country of Origin as India, manufactured by is mandatory | Indian-origin products need manufacturer details. |
| HSN is invalid as per customs tariff | The HSN must be a finance-approved, valid eight-digit tariff code. |
| IQC-Size chart not available | The category requires a size chart that the normal upload flow did not provide. |
