Use evidence in a fixed order
When Ajio rejects a measurement, the fastest answer is not always the most defensible one. Use sources in this order so every correction has a reason behind it.
1. Accepted Ajio rows for the same seller and brick
Ajio's accepted products are the strongest evidence of what Ajio considers legal for that seller and category.
Require at least three accepted points with a consistent step before interpolating a missing size. Two points cannot tell you whether you found a genuine grade or one bad value. Extrapolating from two points once produced a 37″ “mid-thigh” kurti.
2. A QC-approved file for the same garment on another marketplace
The same products may already be listed on Myntra, Nykaa, Flipkart or Amazon. Those catalogue files passed the brand's own QC and often resolve missing Ajio measurements quickly.
Use the value as evidence, not as an automatic copy. Channel fields can describe different measurement conventions.
3. The brand's published size chart
Use the chart to corroborate the series and separate body measurements from garment measurements. Ajio's *To Fit X field describes the body; the plain *X field describes the garment.
4. Ask the brand
If the sources disagree or the garment measurement is absent, ask. A wrong value can cause returns and may become impossible to correct after the size goes live.
Do not average disagreement away
Show every channel's value side by side. A disagreement is a finding: one file may use a different convention or the wrong chart. Averaging can create a number that no source supports.
Validate the full series
- paired To Fit and garment values are not equal
- values do not dip below a smaller size
- jumps are supported by an accepted grade
- flat length is allowed when the garment genuinely has one cut length
- each column describes the correct body part
