An Ajio workbook is more than the cells you can see

Many Ajio upload failures are caused by structural changes inside the .xlsx, not by the visible product values.

Preserve the hidden identities

The workbook carries sellerId and, for rejection files, feedId in the Seller Information Sheet. Both values are UUIDs stored through the shared-string table.

  • Lose sellerId and Ajio reports: Seller is not authorized to upload other seller's sheet.
  • Lose feedId and a correction opens a new feed instead of amending the owner.
  • Clear every UUID-shaped value and you can remove both at once.

Target fields by their labels, never by what their values look like. Verify sellerId on every finished file; in one seven-file batch, only one lost it, and it was not the file expected.

Do not rebuild the workbook

General spreadsheet libraries can re-save an Ajio workbook by reconstructing it from their own model. The file still opens in Excel, but hidden parts such as xl/sharedStrings.xml may be dropped.

Preserve the original package and change only the intended cell data. Compare the internal part count before and after any automated process.

Text storage matters

A cell stored as an inline string can display normally while Ajio reads it as blank. Accepted text uses the workbook's shared-string mechanism.

Know which file you have

Rejection exportReal template
Sheets46
Internal parts1719
Carries feedIdYesNo
Extra columnsID, Status, RemarkNone

Use the rejection export to amend its existing feed. Use a real, recently accepted template for a new feed.

Use the rejection file to release SKUs

Releasing rejected products is also an existing-feed amendment. Download the owning feed's rejection file, clear every row for the SKUs you want to release, and re-upload that workbook under a new filename.

Keep the rejection file's feedId and the seller's sellerId intact. The feed ID is what directs the cleared rows back to the feed that currently owns the products. After Ajio processes the release, the corrected products can be submitted in a fresh template.

Remove empty categories completely

An empty category sheet still fails the upload. Remove both the unused sheet and its row in the Seller Information Sheet manifest.

Final structural check

  • correct template or rejection-file type for the intended action
  • sellerId present and unchanged
  • feedId present for an existing-feed correction
  • shared strings preserved
  • no empty declared category sheet
  • no rejection-only columns in a new-feed template
  • new filename for every re-upload
